The Sydney Marathon is a candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors (AbbottWMM). Run one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most spectacular and historic landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
This event will be held on Sunday 15th September 2024.
THURSDAY 12 SEP 2024
Arrival at Sydney Airport, and make your way to the hotel
Early check-in as available or baggage drop; walk and explore the hotel’s surrounding area, eat out for lunch & chill in the afternoon
Dinner on your own, and free & easy in the evening
FRIDAY 13 SEP 2024
Breakfast at the hotel
Mid-morning, meet at the hotel foyer for a half-day sightseeing tour of Sydney, which then finishes at the Race Expo
Rest of the day, free to explore Sydney on your own
In the evening, join the group for the Sydney Marathon Harbour Cruise (including welcome drink and canapes)
SATURDAY 14 SEP 2024
After breakfast, join us for an easy shake-out run (about 5km)
Pre-race buffet dinner at a private location for everyone on our tour packages
SUNDAY 15 SEP 2024 (RACE DAY)
After an early breakfast, runners will be escorted to the start area
The start location is at Milsons Point, which is a short walk and train journey away. Trains are free for all runners.
After the race, recharge in the recovery zone, and/or back at the hotel
In the afternoon, meet up for our post-race celebrations with the rest of the runners in the group
MONDAY 16 SEP 2024
Leisurely breakfast, relax and get ready for check out by 11 am
For those who have booked an extra day/night, the rest of the day is free for you to explore Sydney on your own
