The LONDON MARATHON course is generally flat and fast, and is run around the River Thames. It starts in Blackheath (at 3 different points), heads east through Charlton and Woolwich for 5km (where the 3 courses converge), turns west and passes the Cutty Sark in Greenwich after 10-11km. It crosses the River Thames at Tower Bridge and loops around the east end of London, past Canary Wharf in Docklands, before heading west again along the Highway and the Embankment (catching a glimpse of the London Eye & the Big Ben) to Parliament Square, Birdcage Walk and the final corner in front of Buckingham Palace. The finish is in the Mall alongside St. James’s Park.

The London Marathon is also known for being the ‘largest fundraising race’ in the world for the huge number of participants running for their chosen charities at the marathon. The number of finishers at the 2026 TCS London Marathon has surpassed the previous record of 59,226 set at the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, and the new record set in London is 59,830 finishers!

In addition to this feat, the top 2 runners in the Men's Elite race broke the two-hour barrier. The winner, Sabastian Sawe from Kenya won the race in 1:59:30, setting a new world record!

The 2027 edition will be held on Sunday 25th April 2027. 

THURSDAY 22 APR 2027

Morning arrival at London Heathrow airport, and transfer to hotel
Early check-in (if room is ready) or bag drop at the concierge, and head for the marathon expo to pick up your race pack. At the same time, do some shopping for souvenirs and sports wear, and soak in the atmosphere
Rest of the day on your own to explore the area around central London

FRIDAY 23 APR 2027

Morning run around the hotel & the nearby parks (St. James's Park & Green Park) before breakfast
After breakfast, do some sightseeing in London and simply chill and relax; but for those who have not picked up the race pack, we will head to the marathon expo together
Free for the rest of the day & meet for dinner together at a restaurant nearby.

SATURDAY 24 APR 2027

Morning run along the last 2-3 km of the marathon route (Embankment/Birdcage Walk/The Mall)
Breakfast with the group for a pre-marathon briefing
Carbo-load dinner at the hotel and preparation for the marathon

SUNDAY 25 APR 2027 (RACE DAY)

Morning group transfer to the race start. Supporters can choose to head to one of the cheering points to support the runners. Enjoy a terrific marathon 
while we cross our fingers for a race of your lifetime
After completing the race, treat your body to a spa/massage or replenish your energy storage in the hotel pub while sharing first hand your experience and excitement with your running peers

MONDAY 26 APR 2027

Sleep in or morning recovery run before breakfast
Walk around the area in central London and check out at 11:00 am
For those with an extra night stay, book the sightseeing tours and discover London on the open deck buses
