This marathon is an incredible experience! Not only are the landscapes breathtaking, but the route passes through chateaux, wine cellars, vineyards, etc...and an enthusiastic crowd turns out along the route every year! Whether you are looking for a sporting performance, or prefer to dress up in your nicest costumes of Mickey Mouse or Dark Vader, the atmosphere is extraordinary and the organisation is second to none.
In 20 editions, the International Beaujolais Marathon has become France's biggest festive running event, with a record of 27,000 participants and 70 different nationalities.
In the midst of the festivities, it is to celebrate the launch of famous Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Come and experience this exceptional event and savour the unique atmosphere between vineyards and chateaux.
It's an event that is both sporty and festive; with incredible refreshment stands, entertainment and tastings all along the route, laid out in the heart of the Beaujolais crus and supervised by more than 1,200 attentive volunteers.
This event will be held on Saturday 22nd November 2025.
